Job summary

Harborview Hand Therapy Clinic, part of UW Medicine Rehabilitation, seeks a Hand Therapist (Occupational Therapist 2) for per diem daytime shifts in Seattle. The role involves trauma-focused hand therapy, education for patients and families, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include an OT degree from an accredited program, successful completion of the AOTA certification exam, WA OT licensure, and 18 months of experience. CHT is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program and successful completion of the American Occupational Therapy Association certification examination.
• WA state OT license (or valid probational certificate) to practice occupational therapy.
• CHT (Certified Hand Therapist) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, administer, evaluate and provide safe hand therapy for a trauma-based patient population.
• Progression of treatment goals and patient and family education.
• Assess and treat patient caseloads ranging from routine to complex problems and situations.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to coordinate continuity of care from admission to discharge.
• Implement treatment programs including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, splinting and physical agents.
• Instruct, supervise and evaluate students as assigned by supervisor.
