Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Beverly, MA is seeking a Hand Hygiene Observer to support Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) across inpatient units. Under IPC leadership, you will observe hand hygiene practices, collect data, and ensure timely reporting of breaches.

This per diem daytime role requires a high school diploma, strong attention to detail, and solid communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (and REDCap is a plus) and the ability to work with IPC teams on quality

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
College degree or courses in progress preferred.
0-3 years of work experience preferred.
Advanced skills with the Microsoft Office suite and web-based applications (e.g. REDCap).
Detail oriented with effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Perform hand hygiene direct observation across all inpatient care units and other settings as directed by IPC leadership.
Enter hand hygiene observation data into hand hygiene software.
Communicate with IPC leadership regarding urgent issues or breaches in hand hygiene compliance.
Assist IPC team in quality improvement activities related to hand hygiene.
Other duties related to hand hygiene as assigned by IPC leadership.
