Job summary

Monte Nido Houston Day Treatment Program in Houston, TX seeks a per diem Group Facilitator to support adults with eating disorders through day treatment. The role involves direct patient support, implementing therapeutic interventions, and participating in meals with clients.

You will facilitate groups, engage with patients per the program philosophy, and help ensure safety, documentation, and quality outcomes across sessions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in counseling or similar field strongly preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a relevant health-related field.
• Group therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, comfortable environment and therapeutic milieu for patients.
• Model therapeutic eating habits by eating provided programmatic meals and snacks aligned with the company’s philosophy.
• Engage with patients in a manner aligned with the therapeutic approach.
• Deliver curriculum to groups and communicate/ elevate situations appropriately.
• Run assigned groups independently and co-facilitate as needed.
• Internalize feedback from manager and improve interactions.
• Present professionally, reflecting Monte Nido’s standards.
• Monitor patient safety during the program day and intervene when appropriate.
• Participate in meals and snacks, including meal pre-planning and meal process groups.
• Check in with clients and escalate non-attendance in real time.
• Coordinate collection of outcome and client satisfaction surveys.
• Document in daily reports and meal logs with timely updates.
• Update group and meal notes within 24 hours.
