Job summary

Monte Nido Houston Day Treatment Program seeks a per diem Group Facilitator to support adults with eating disorders in a day treatment setting in Houston, TX. You will participate in meal supervision, therapy groups, and collaboration with the treatment team.

Responsibilities include running groups, modeling healthy eating, and maintaining thorough documentation of interactions and client progress. On-site role with 4 shifts monthly, contributing to a supportive therapeutic milieu.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in counseling or similar field strongly preferred.
• Minimum of two years' experience in a relevant health-related field.
• Group therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, comfortable environment and therapeutic milieu for patients.
• Model therapeutic eating habits with clients by eating provided meals and snacks.
• Engage with patients in alignment with Monte Nido's therapeutic approach.
• Deliver curriculum to groups as needed and communicate effectively.
• Run assigned groups independently; co-facilitate groups as needed.
• Internalize feedback from manager and work to improve interactions.
• Maintain professional conduct and adhere to Monte Nido standards of care.
• Monitor patient safety during the program day and intervene when appropriate.
• Participate in and monitor daily meals and snacks; eat with clients.
• Check in with clients and escalate attendance issues for follow-up.
• Coordinate collection of outcome and satisfaction surveys.
• Document in daily reports and meal logs; update notes within 24 hours.

Education

Bachelor's degree in counseling or similar field

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of two years' experience in a relevant health-related field
