Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in CT.
• Minimum of one year of geriatric nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English; follow oral and written instructions.
• Fluent knowledge of MS Office and other office equipment.
• Ability to work hours as scheduled based on position.

Responsabilités

• Administers medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Assumes responsibility for ordering medications.
• Transcribes, documents, and implements physician orders.
• Makes nursing assessments during each shift.
• Gives daily shift report to CNAs and reviews assignments.
• Gives and takes nursing report and communicates essential information.
• Makes rounds on assigned residents at least every two hours.
• Collaborates with Care Plan Coordinator to develop and maintain nursing care plans.
• Attends interdisciplinary resident care conferences as requested.
• Assists attending physician with rounds and procedures as needed.
• Participates in annual evaluations of CNAs and documents performance.
• Assists Staff Development Coordinator with orientation and training for new staff.
• Collaborates with nursing supervisor on disciplinary matters for CNAs.
• Notifies supervisor/physician/family of changes in resident condition or incidents.
• Assumes RN Supervisor duties in absence or as directed.
• Performs other related duties as needed.
