Job summary

Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles, WA seeks a General Surgeon to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients with general surgical problems as part of a rural practice. You will provide consultation and care for critically ill and pediatric patients within a Level III trauma center framework.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME approved general surgery residency.
• Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery.
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Washington.
• Current ACLS certification; DEA registration; privileges on the OMC Medical Staff.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with general surgical problems.
• Provide consultation and care to patients including critically ill and non-complex pediatric patients.
• Support Olympic Medical Center’s Level III Trauma Center designation.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with strong RN and MA support and responsive OR administration.

OMP General Surgery seeks team-oriented surgeons to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation and care to patients presenting with general surgical problems, including critically ill patients and non-complex pediatric patients. OMP General Surgery supports Olympic Medical Center’s Level III Trauma Center designation and program. Successful completion of requirements of the American Board of Surgery for certification in General Surgery.EXPERIENCECompletion of general surgery residency.Two years of practice in General Surgery preferred but not required.LICENSURE/CREDENTIALSBoard certified or eligible.Maintains an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Washington.Maintains current DEA registration.Maintains current ACLS certification.
