OMP General Surgery seeks team-oriented surgeons to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation and care to patients presenting with general surgical problems, including critically ill patients and non-complex pediatric patients. OMP General Surgery supports Olympic Medical Center’s Level III Trauma Center designation and program. Highlights of the practice include: --*Joining an established and successful rural practice in lifestyle setting with maximum 1-in-4 call**--Industry-leading support staff ratios, including robust RN and Medical Assistant support**--Responsive OR administration**--Dedicated hospitalist program for medical admissions and management of complex patients**--Integrated electronic healthcare record system (EPIC) with local and regional hospital systems* *--Built-in advanced laparoscopic practice with growth potential for foregut, hernia, and colon cases* The successful General Surgeon Physician at OMP is focused on providing excellent person-centered care to rural patients as part of a multi-disciplinary team.***EDUCATION**** Medical degree from an accredited school.* Successful completion of an ACGME approved postgraduate training program in General Surgery.* Successful completion of requirements of the American Board of Surgery for certification in General Surgery.***EXPERIENCE**** Completion of general surgery residency.* Two years of practice in General Surgery preferred but not required.***LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS**** Board certified or eligible.* Maintains an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Washington.* Maintains current DEA registration.* Maintains current ACLS certification.
