Job summary

Winchester Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, seeks a skilled General Surgeon for per-diem coverage. You will perform elective and emergency general surgery, provide call coverage, and manage inpatient care across a collaborative hospital setting.

The role requires MA medical license, board eligibility/certification in General Surgery, and active DEA/MCSR registrations. Epic EHR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Completed an accredited General Surgery Residency.
Current, unrestricted Massachusetts Medical License.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery (ABMS/AOA).
Active Federal DEA & MCSR registrations.

Responsibilities

Perform elective and emergency general surgery procedures.
Provide surgical call coverage, rounding, and inpatient consultations.
Evaluate and manage acute surgical cases presenting to the ED.
Deliver pre-operative and post-operative surgical care.
Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, APPs, and nursing staff.
Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR (Epic).
