Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health's Winchester Hospital seeks a skilled Board Certified or Board Eligible General Surgeon for per-diem coverage. You will provide elective and emergency general surgery, on-call coverage, and inpatient consultations in a collaborative community hospital setting backed by the Beth Israel Lahey Health network.

You will work with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, APs, and nursing staff to deliver comprehensive pre- and post-operative care, while documenting in Epic and

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completed General Surgery Residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
• Active Medical License in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• DEA & MCSR registrations active.

Responsibilities

• Surgical Coverage: Perform elective and emergency general surgery procedures.
• On-Call & Inpatient Care: Provide surgical call coverage, rounding, and inpatient consultations.
• Emergency Department Consults: Evaluate and manage acute surgical cases presenting to the ED.
• Patient Management: Deliver comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative surgical care.
• Collaboration: Partner with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, APs, and nursing staff.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic.
