Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking per diem Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, Family Nurse Practitioners, or Physician Assistants to join our pediatric services in Springfield, MA. The role supports the ACO primary care practice and resident Continuity Clinic with a focus on trauma-informed, family-centered care.

Minimum pediatric experience is preferred, with an expectation to meet vaccination requirements and work within Baystate Health policies. Per diem hourly pay is $85.

Qualifications

• Pediatrics specialization and board-certified credentials required or strongly preferred.
• Two years of pediatric practice experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide per diem coverage for the ACO primary care practice and resident Continuity Clinic in Springfield, MA.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, trauma-sensitive pediatric care.

Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, Baystate Children’s Hospital, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group. Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate.

Position Highlights

• Join our team of 13 physicians and APPs within a culture of interdisciplinary learning, academic curiosity, and mutual respect to promote wellness, growth, equity, and education in all interactions throughout our ACO primary care practice and resident Continuity Clinic in Springfield MA.
• Serve a diverse patient multilingual population many of whom are not native English speaking. Our practice has interpreters on site, and fluency in medical Spanish is a plus.
• Collaborate with community partners and our ACO to address the social determinants of health in our community and provide excellent, evidence-based, compassionate, trauma-sensitive care that meets the medical, developmental and emotional needs of our patients and their families.
• Baystate Children’s Hospital is a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 107-beds and includes the region’s only PICU and NICU, as well as pediatric inpatient services, child life specialists, a designated 24-hour pediatric ED and services from 11 pediatric subspecialties, pediatric surgery and child psychiatry.
• Qualifications: Board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, Family Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants with a minimum of 2 years of practice experience in pediatrics strongly preferred.

This is a per diem position to help with coverage during vacations and leave of absences. The hourly rate of pay is $85.
