Wood County Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Technician on a per diem basis. The role ensures a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across the facility through cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance tasks aligned with infection prevention efforts.

The position is onsite and supports regulatory and safety standards while contributing to patient, staff, and visitor comfort and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and scheduled deep cleaning of assigned areas to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Clean and service restrooms by disinfecting fixtures and surfaces and replenish supplies.
• Collect and dispose of trash and linens safely, transporting carts to designated areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment and chemical solutions safely (floor machines, vacuums, extractors, germicidal products).
• Maintain cleanliness of furniture, equipment, blinds, vents, and surfaces through cleaning and disinfecting.
