Job summary

Hackensack Endoscopy Center is seeking an Endoscopy RN for per diem shifts in Hackensack, New Jersey. The RN will plan, direct, and coordinate nursing care before, during, and after procedures within an accredited ambulatory setting.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, collaborating with the health care team, and advocating for patients. Strong RN background in endoscopy and state licensure required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• 1+ years of experience as an Endoscopy Nurse.
• Current RN license in the state of New Jersey.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement nursing care services for pre-, intra- and post‑procedure patients.
• Utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive, evidence‑based care during patient visits.
• Coordinate total patient care with other health care team members.
• Advocate for patients using the Patient's Bill of Rights.
• Demonstrate professional growth by accepting responsibility and accountability for nursing practice.
