Job summary

Mission Regional Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Per Diem Emergency Medical Technician to provide rapid assessment and basic management of medical, trauma and environmental emergencies under supervision of ED staff.

You will assist with patient care and ensure a safe environment, while working under the direction of the ED Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse. This role requires current EMT license, BLS, ACLS and PALS within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required for new hires.
• Basic EMT training or ER experience required.
• Current BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• PALS certification required within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Licensed EMT by state certifying agency required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage medical, trauma and environmental emergencies under supervision.
• Assist with patient care as directed by ED RN or Charge Nurse.
• Help maintain a safe environment and follow facility protocols.

Education
