Job summary

Brown University is seeking an EMS Shift Supervisor for per diem, part-time onsite work in the Emergency Medical Services department. Qualifications

• Rhode Island licensed prehospital provider with substantial 911 emergency response experience within the State of Rhode Island.
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
• Current FEMA IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, and AWR-160 certifications.
• EVOC certification or equivalent emergency vehicle operator training.
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) level provider preferred.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee or participate in patient care during assigned shifts according to scope of practice.
• Manage shift operations including safe vehicle operations and use of EMS equipment and supplies.
• Oversee autonomous BLS student EMT crews on designated shifts.
• Mentor and educate EMS students and staff; support EMT onboarding and driver education.
• Facilitate training activities related to EMT licensure, recertification, and CME requirements.
