Job summary
BayMark Health Services seeks a Per Diem Dispensing Nurse (LPN/LVN) to dispense medications within our BAART Program in California. The role requires accurate dispensing, maintaining equipment, and reporting patient treatment information in collaboration with physicians and nursing supervisors.
Ideal candidates will hold a California LPN/LVN license with CPR certification, be comfortable with EMR systems, and demonstrate a cooperative, non-judgmental attitude toward individuals in substance use
Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in California and in good standing.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Experience with EMR systems is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administer daily medications to patients per program policy.
- Operate automated dispensing systems and calibrate pumps.
- Maintain dispensing equipment and records as required by regulations and BayMark policy.
- Ensure secure handling of controlled substances under Federal regulations.
- Assist with inventory and stocking of medications per DEA/state rules.
- Provide daily patient assessments and support nursing supervision.
- Orient new nursing staff under supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
