Job summary

Barnegat Rehab and Nursing is seeking per diem Dietary Aides to support meal service and resident care in a skilled nursing facility. Responsibilities include serving meals with proper portion control, keeping dining areas clean, participating in cleaning and recycling, and following safety guidelines.

Requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year in food service or dietary aide. Strong communication and multitasking skills valued.

Qualifications

Experience providing quality resident services, including needs assessment and evaluating satisfaction.
Minimum of a High School Diploma and at least 1 year experience in Food Service/Dietary Aide.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and respond to emergencies.
Knowledge of sanitary food-handling practices.
Strong communication skills with residents and families.
Identify and report problems and suggest corrections.

Responsibilities

Serves meals to residents in dining areas with proper portion control and appealing presentation.
Performs daily cleaning tasks including spills, unloading dishwasher, and waste disposal.
Participates in departmental cleaning and recycling programs.
Follows facility and state guidelines for food and waste disposal.
Wears protective clothing when handling chemicals or infectious waste.
Provides excellent resident service within established guidelines.
