Job summary

Barnegat Rehab and Nursing in Barnegat Township, NJ is seeking both Full Time and Part Time Dietary Aides to join our 120-bed skilled nursing center serving geriatric residents. Join a professional, compassionate team dedicated to quality dining and resident comfort.

Responsibilities include serving meals with portion control, assisting with cleaning, waste disposal, and following safety guidelines. Strong communication and ability to multitask are essential; prior food service experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma and at least 1 year of food service/dietary aide experience.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication with residents and their families.
• Working knowledge of sanitary practices relating to food handling.

Responsibilities

• Serves meals to residents with portion control and appetizing presentation.
• Completes daily cleaning tasks, including spills, unloading dishwasher, and waste disposal.
• Participates in departmental cleaning and recycling program.
• Disposes of food and waste in accordance with facility/state guidelines.
• Wears protective clothing when handling hazardous chemicals or infectious waste.
• Provides excellent resident service within established guidelines.

Barnegat Rehab and Nursing, a skilled nursing facility, is seeking FullTime and Part TimeDietary Aides. Our facility is a 120-bed skilled nursing center for geriatric residents. We provide a wide range of nursing care and rehabilitation services for both short-term and long-term care. At Barnegat Rehab and Nursing, we have a professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate team that cares for our residents

Responsibilities for Dietary Aide

• Serves meals to residents in dining areas in accordance with established portion control procedures that are appetizing in appearance

• May be required to complete daily cleaning assignments that include but are not limited to cleaning up spilled food, drinks and broken dishes, unloading dishwasher and removing empty bottles and disposing of trash

• Participates in the departmental cleaning and recycling program

• Disposes of food and waste in accordance with facility / state guidelines

• Wears protective clothing when handling hazardous chemicals or infectious waste

• Provides excellent resident service within established guidelines

Requirements for Dietary Aide

• Experience providing quality resident services including needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluation of resident’s satisfaction

• Minimum of a High School Diploma and at least 1-year previous experience with Food Service/ Dietary Aide

• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, has ability to prioritize work and resolve emergencies as they may occur

• Working knowledge of sanitary practices relating to food handling

• Good communication skills and ability to effectively interact with others (residents and their families)

• Ability to identify and report problems associated with the daily work routine and provide suggestions for correction of those problems
