Job summary

Seabury at Pomperaug Woods in Southbury, CT is seeking a Per Diem Diet Aide to join our Food & Beverage team and support residents with nutritious meals served with care.

The role focuses on preparing desserts and salads, serving meals in the Health Center, and maintaining dining areas with a CARES-focused mindset. Prior food service in healthcare or senior living is a plus, and reliable attendance is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience preferred (healthcare or senior living a plus)
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and move throughout shift
• Strong customer service mindset and positive attitude
• Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic

Responsibilities

• Prepare therapeutic desserts and salads according to menu requirements
• Serve meals to residents in the Health Center
• Set up and reset dining room tables for meal service
• Transport hot and cold food, supplies, and dining essentials safely throughout the community
• Stock dining areas and maintain department standards
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and sanitary
• Support a positive dining experience while embodying CARES values
