Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island in Mineola, NY, is hiring a Per Diem - Clerical Services Associate, Dialysis at Home. The role provides clerical support to ensure smooth unit operations, including order transcription, data entry, medical record maintenance, and handling calls.

Minimum qualification is a High School diploma or GED, plus excellent communication and basic data entry skills. Preferred: 1-2 years clerical experience and knowledge of medical terminology.

Qualifications

• To qualify you must have a High School or GED.
• Excellent communication (both oral and written), organizational, interpersonal, customer service skills.
• Knowledge of basic data entry computer skills.
• 1-2 years Clerical related experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of clerical tasks in an organized, efficient manner for the unit.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment, including security of patient belongings; participates in HEICS if required.
• Performs routine office equipment maintenance and coordinates installation/repair.
• Enters accurate patient information in electronic medical records per policy; transcribes orders following guidelines.
• Communicates with patient, family, and health care team in a timely manner and reports pertinent information to the nurse or supervisor.
