Job summary

SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking an hourly/per diem X-Ray Technologist/TH Medical Radiographer I to perform diagnostic imaging including general x-ray, portable exams, and fluoroscopy in a fast-paced department.

The ideal candidate is a licensed radiologic technologist with experience using RIS and PACS, strong patient care, ALARA compliance, and the ability to adapt to changing hours and teach staff.

Qualifications

• Licensed radiologic technologist.
• Experience with RIS/PACS and fluoroscopy.
• Ability to handle high-quality imaging with ALARA.
• Strong patient care and customer service skills.
• Flexibility with hourly/per diem scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging including general x-ray, portable exams, and fluoroscopy.
• Provide patient care and verify patient identification.
• Operate in OR imaging when needed.
• Maintain high-quality images and adhere to protocols.
• Utilize RIS and PACS for scheduling and image verification.
• Assist with scheduling changes per department needs.
