Endeavor Health seeks a Cytotechnologist for per diem coverage at Northwest Community Hospital in the Arlington Heights area. The role involves overseeing daily lab operations and ensuring accurate specimen processing in a busy, regulated environment.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Cytotechnology with CAHEP accreditation and CT(ASCP) eligibility, with preferred (but not mandatory) 1 year of cytotechnology experience. Competitive per diem pay and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cytotechnology, Biology, or related field from a CAAHEP-accredited program.
• Complete an accredited cytotechnology training program.
• CT(ASCP) certification or eligibility within the first year of employment.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily operations within the laboratory section and ensure smooth workflow and accurate specimen processing.
• Review documentation and reports, address abnormal results, troubleshoot issues, and resolve specimen handling problems.
• Act as a primary resource for cytology procedures, instrument operations, and specimen handling questions.
• Evaluate and report gynecological, non-gynecological, and FNA specimens per regulatory standards.
• Match requisitions and slides, label slides, and mark diagnostic material for review.

Formation

Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology, Biology, or related field (CAAHEP-accredited)

Cytotechnology training program (accredited)

CT(ASCP) certification or eligible (within first year)
