Job summary

The Beacon City School District is seeking motivated individuals to join our facilities team as Per Diem Custodial Workers. You will perform cleaning tasks under supervision, including dusting, washing, mopping, waxing floors and light maintenance.

NYS Fingerprinting clearance is required, Civil Service Eligibility is needed, and appointments run through June 30, 2027. The wage is $19.48 per hour with potential opportunities for more consistent schedules for strong performers.

• Working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow simple oral and written directions.
• Ability to get along well with others.
• Thoroughness; punctuality; cleanliness.
• Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.

• May be required to make deliveries and run errands.
• Does related work as required.

This work requires efficient performance of simple cleaning tasks under general supervision of custodians or senior custodial workers. The work of employees in this class involves the thorough execution of tasks which follow a well established routine.

• Dusts chairs, tables, desks and other furniture; moves furniture as required to perform duties;
