Job summary

Sanitas Medical Centers in the United States seeks a CT/X-Ray Technologist to perform CT and X-ray procedures, develop and monitor protocols, and provide high-quality diagnostic images while upholding patient care standards.

You will participate in QA, manage patient logs and RIS forms, ensure patient safety including pre-screening for radiation contraindications, and collaborate with the facility team to meet quality metrics and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Produces high quality diagnostic images using proper scan protocols.
• Participates in QA activities including patient logs and RIS forms.
• Keep Repeat/Retake rate under 7% monthly.
• Handles CT workflow: image processing, archiving, and PACS transfer.
• Ensures patient safety, pre-screening for radiation contraindications and aseptic technique.
• IV insertion after training and competency.
• Communicates findings and histories with patients and providers.
• Maintains equipment, room cleanliness, and supply stocking.
• Participates in huddles and completes daily checklists.

Responsibilities

• Produces high quality diagnostic images to include a variety of procedures with the knowledge and ability to apply the proper scan protocols needed to visualize the anatomy in question.
• Participates in QA activities to include maintenance of patient logs and RIS forms.
• Keep Repeat/Retake percentage less than 7% of all images for each month.
• Understand the process of computed radiology, image processing, archiving, and sending of images to the PACS stations and perform these tasks accurately and free of error.
• Ensures Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications to radiation and contrast injections. Also, the use of aseptic injection techniques.
• IV insertion after successful completion of training and competency.
• Maintains proactive, effective communication with patient and the provider regarding any findings, patient histories and test results as appropriate.
• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep the room stocked with linens and necessary supplies.
• Know and practice organizational values and adhere to organizational protocols.
• Follow the information security policies and management system, contributing to their effectiveness, and actively reporting on their performance.
• Function in a manner that supports the facility in meeting or exceeding goals set forth in the quality metrics (Door to EKG, Troponin TAT, Door to Antibiotic, Etc.)
• Support the Facility Leader (FL) and Lead Rad Tech by being a positive team player.
• Completion of daily checklists.
• Participate in morning huddles when on shift.
• Accurate completion of clinical inventory as assigned.
• Participate in facility specific education and training (i.e., OSHA, HIPAA, Joint Commission, ALARA, etc.)
• Timely completion of tasks as assigned by the Lead Rad Tech or FL.
• Follow the information security policies and management system, contributing to their effectiveness, and actively reporting on their performance.
