Job summary

Prime Healthcare's St Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, MO seeks a CT Technologist (Radiologic Technologist II) to operate CT scanners and X-ray machines, producing cross-sectional images to support diagnosis. This is a per diem position with flexible hours.

Candidates must be CT certified and hold an additional radiology modality certificate, with ARRT-CT and BCLS (AHA) credentials. Prior acute radiology experience is preferred.

Qualifications

CT certified and certified in one other modality.
One year of acute radiology experience preferred.
ARRT-CT Certification required, BCLS (AHA) on hire.
Knowledge of radiology/CT equipment and infection control.
Must be able to position patients and explain procedures empathetically.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients and ensure proper positioning on CT table and explain the procedure with empathy.
Operate CT scanners and X-ray machines to obtain images and adjust settings.
Monitor patients for comfort and safety during the procedure.
Assist radiologists and may administer contrast agents or perform certain procedures.
Accountable for QA of CT scanners/X-ray machines.
Maintain radiologic supplies and follow infection control protocols.
