Job summary

Adventist HealthCare's Shady Grove Medical Center in Gaithersburg, MD, seeks an experienced CT Technologist to join the CT Department and support its mission of compassionate care. The role emphasizes accurate CT exams, patient safety, and collaboration with radiologists and nursing staff.

The position offers per diem scheduling, weekend rotation, and opportunities to train new staff. A Maryland license and ARRT CT certification are required or preferred, with BLS on file.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of AMA/JRCERT accredited Radiography program.
• Maryland Radiologic Technologist license required.
• ARRT CT certification required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations per radiologists' protocols and operate CT scanner and ancillary equipment.
• Assist radiologist and staff in interventional procedures.
• Identify patients, review orders, and select scanning protocols for quality and safety.
• Accurately document in HIS/RIS/PACS and related CT systems.
• Maximize patient throughput and assist with transport within Imaging Services.
• Provide general patient care within the CT department and assist in orienting/training staff and students.

Maryland Radiation Technologist license

ARRT (CT) Certification

Active American Heart Association BLS certification
