Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Per Diem CRNA to join the Anesthesiology Department at St. Joseph Medical Center in downtown Tacoma. You will provide anesthesia for a broad surgical and procedural caseload and help shape the future of the department.

Based at St. Joseph, a 385-bed Level II Trauma center, you will work in a collaborative CRNA-driven model and contribute to safe, high-quality patient experiences across the hospital.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State Registered Nurse License and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License.
• NBCRNA CRNA certification is required.
• Ability to obtain DEA with full prescriptive authority for practice.
• Strong knowledge of current anesthesia practices and procedures.
• Aptitude for detail and strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, expert anesthesia care at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma.
• Support a diverse surgical and procedural caseload in a 20-OR environment.
• Operate within a CRNA-driven anesthesia care team model.
• Help establish the CRNA presence and evolve the Anesthesiology Department at St. Joseph.
• Contribute to patient safety, comfort, and efficient clinical operations.
