Job summary

UF Health Rehabilitation Hospital - North in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant for per diem coverage. The COTA will work under an OT, treating patients with complex needs, and will participate in ongoing education and documentation.

The role includes an extensive orientation and potential for future full-time opportunities. Current COTA licensure or eligibility is required, and BLS certification or completion within 90 days is required by policy.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment is required or as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized therapy under the supervision of an OT.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust treatment as directed by the supervising OT.
• Complete proper documentation according to department policies.
• Participate in continuing education seminars and in-services.
