Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Laurel Highlands is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team on a per diem basis. You will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to deliver individualized therapy to patients with complex needs.

Responsibilities include conducting therapy sessions, monitoring patient progress, and completing accurate documentation. A state license or eligibility is required, with BLS certification or completion within 90 days as

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• BLS certification required or to be completed within 90 days of employment (or as state regulations require).

Responsibilities

• Provide individual therapy under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Monitor patient responses and modify treatment as clinically indicated.
• Complete documentation according to department policies.
• Participate in hospital, department and community continuing education sessions.
