Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Wheeling is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a Per Diem position. This role involves treating patients, monitoring their responses to therapy, and collaborating closely with Occupational Therapists in a supportive environment.

As part of our commitment to exceptional care, the COTA will utilize a patient-centric approach in a newly established therapy department. Candidates must hold the required state licensure and BLS certification to provide compassionate and quality care for our patients.

Qualifications

• Must hold current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Completion of BLS certification required within first 90 days or as mandated.
• Experience with patients with complex needs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens under OT supervision.
• Monitor and modify treatment plans as required during sessions.
• Complete documentation as per department policy.
• Participate in continuing education and in-services.
