Enters patient demographic and insurance information into the pharmacy software.
Processes prescriptions presented by customers and physicians.
Types prescriptions with pharmacist oversight and troubleshoots issues.
Verifies insurance coverage and resolves issues with carriers.
Manages cash register and assists with closing procedures.
Records accounts and handles accounts receivable tasks.
Maintains front-end pharmacy operations and assists customers.
Tracks inventory and orders items with pharmacist oversight.
Researches items for potential retail sale.
Orders prescription medications with pharmacist oversight.
Prepares accounts payable and forwards to accounting.
