Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Current Pharmacist license in Nevada or eligible to obtain.
• Preferred hospital pharmacy and sterile compounding experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates medication therapy of patients and makes recommendations to physicians to provide the best possible therapy for the patient in the most efficient manner.
• Provides drug information to physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific factors and performs satisfactorily related to patient's age.
• Dispenses medications.
• Supervises Pharmacy Technicians in unit dosage, intravenous admixture and prescription preparation/distribution and provides general oversight as assigned to pharmacy operations.
• Responsible for data collection, adverse drug reaction reporting, drug utilization evaluation, quality assurance audits, and inventory control.
• Demonstrates competency levels in all aspects of the applicable pharmacist role.
• Demonstrates knowledge of drug therapy protocols and patient management on these protocols.
• Demonstrates knowledge of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic principles in drug dosing.
• Ensures safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapy for patients.
• Performs other related duties as assigned
