Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum, is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to support multiple Tennessee locations, including Knoxville. The role involves processing prescriptions, patient counseling, and immunization administration as allowed by state boards.

This position offers per diem scheduling with ongoing opportunities across site locations. The role requires a TN pharmacist license, immunization certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months), and a valid driver’s license with reliable

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
Current pharmacist’s license in TN
Certified immunizer or willing to become one within 3 months of hire
Driver’s license and access to reliable transportation

Responsibilities

Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
Provides information to customers about medications and their use
Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service
Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy
Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties
Local travel up to 50%
