Job summary

Our Island Home, operated by the Town of Nantucket, is seeking a Per Diem Certified Nursing Assistant to join our compassionate care team on Nantucket Island. You will provide personal care to residents under care plans and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident outcomes.

The position offers $28.00 per hour, per diem scheduling, and non-union employment with an open “Open Until Filled” application deadline.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Massachusetts CNA license active and in good standing.
• Current Adult CPR/AED certification required.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Physical ability to lift/move a minimum of 50 lbs regularly and assist residents with transfers.
• Basic English communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily personal care activities per care plans.
• Support a nurturing, patient-centered environment promoting health and well-being.
• Collaborate with nurses and team members to ensure comprehensive resident care.
• Uphold safety and cleanliness standards per regulatory guidelines.
