Job summary

Callista Surgery Center is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our ambulatory surgery team in Walnut Creek, California on a per diem basis. The CNA supports the clinical team, assists with patient care before and after procedures, and helps maintain a safe, clean environment.

Under RN supervision, you will obtain vital signs, assist with transfers, comfort patients, and help manage the flow of patients through preop and recovery areas.

Qualifications

• California CNA certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Experience in ambulatory surgery center, hospital, or PACU preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist with positioning, transfers, and activities of daily living.
• Obtain and document vital signs as directed.
• Support patient flow in preop and recovery areas.
• Observe changes in patient condition and report promptly.
• Maintain infection prevention and safety practices.
• Assist with discharge activities and patient transportation.
