Job summary

Northwest Specialty Hospital in Reno (6225 Sharlands Ave), part of Universal Health Services, invites a per diem CNA to join the Acute Rehab Unit. The role focuses on safe, competent nursing assistant care, collaborating with the healthcare team to support patients recovering from stroke or injury, in private rooms with a dedicated therapy framework.

You will participate in bedside reports, assist with activities of daily living, and uphold Patient Centered Care and Service Excellence standards

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited C.N.A program.
• Current Nevada CNA license required.
• Current BLS certificate required.
• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Completes Bedside shift report in the room at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Meets with Supervising RN at the beginning of each shift to receive delegation of tasks.
• Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care.
