Job summary

Cedar Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living is seeking a Per Diem Dietitian to lead nutritional care programs for Continuing Care residents in Pompton Plains, NJ. You’ll develop care plans, monitor status, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support dining operations and quality of life.

The role requires licensed RD/CDR with clinical nutrition experience. Flexible shifts include evenings, weekends, and holidays; compensation is $45/hour with state-specific regulations applying.

Qualifications

• Licensed Dietitian and Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Experience in health care food service management and clinical nutrition preferred.
• Knowledge of clinical and administrative dietetics including issues in terminal illness.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Flexible schedule; evenings, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement nutritional care plans based on assessments.
• Monitor and document nutritional status of residents and report findings.
• Evaluate and report on nutritional needs and discharge summaries for Home Health and Hospice residents.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide nutritional counseling and education.
• Educate on dietary plans, food selection, and adapt recommendations to individual needs.
• Oversee food production, sanitation, and menu compliance with standards.
• Supervise and evaluate dining services staff.
• Conduct Quality Assurance audits and maintain confidentiality and safety of records.
• Ensure services comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain professional knowledge, registration and licensure.
