Job description

Role Summary: Provides anesthesia care in the operating room to support surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures, under the supervision of an anesthesiologist. Responsibilities include preoperative evaluation, intraoperative anesthesia management, postoperative follow-up, and patient advocacy. Acts as a liaison between patients, families, and physicians.

Key Duties:

• Anesthetizes patients, selects drugs for anesthesia and emergencies, and induces and maintains anesthesia.
• Monitors patient hemodynamics, adjusts medications, and treats anesthesia variants.
• Communicates patient status with surgical and anesthesia teams, assesses patient condition, and interprets equipment readings.
• Performs preoperative evaluations, ensures OR readiness, and conducts diagnostic equipment checks.
• Coordinates with staff to ensure patient safety, responds to emergencies, maintains airway, and charts accurately in EMR.
• Provides anesthesia support across areas, transports patients safely, and serves as a mentor and preceptor to staff and students.

Qualifications & Skills: Master's Degree in Nursing required, with expertise in anesthesia care, patient monitoring, communication, and teamwork. Ability to organize, troubleshoot, and respond effectively to urgent situations is essential.
