Job summary

Orthopaedic South Surgical Center is hiring a Certified Operating Room Technician Per Diem to join the surgical team. The role prepares for procedures, maintains a sterile field, and handles supplies and equipment while aligning with the center's philosophy and quality initiatives.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, with surgical technician training and state-center certification as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Surgical Technician program or equivalent experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with staff, patients, and physicians

Responsibilities

• Prepares for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence as part of the surgical team
• Maintains a sterile field during procedures
• Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgeries
• Supports the Surgery Center's philosophy, objectives and goals
• Participates in quality improvement activities

Education

High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience

Certification as required by state and/or center
