VillageMD is seeking a Per Diem OR Technician to support surgical teams in a fast-paced setting. The role emphasizes sterile technique, accurate handling of instruments, and collaboration with nurses and physicians during operative procedures.

Candidates must have OR technician certification, BLS, and 2–4 years of experience, with 5–8 years preferred. High school diploma or GED required; a vocational/technical diploma is desirable.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Diploma from a vocational or technical school preferred.
• National certification as an OR Technician required.
• BLS required.
• Graduate of an OR Technician Program preferred.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrates technical competency: Handles and passes instruments and supplies appropriately.
• Monitors sterile field and maintains aseptic technique throughout procedures.
• Assists physician with equipment during procedures and manages equipment readiness.
• Maintains inventory, supports turnover, and revises physician preference lists.
• Keeps accurate sterilization logs, timeouts and patient safety checks in line with policy.
