Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Cardiac Sonography; five years experience may substitute the degree.
• At least six months of directly related acute care experience, including clinicals.

Responsibilities

• Performs inpatient and outpatient cardiac ultrasound exams as ordered.
• Reviews inpatient charts and gathers symptoms/history prior to exams.
• Interviews outpatients for cardiac history and symptoms.
• Prepares patients and positions them for imaging.
• Acquires cardiac ultrasound images and generates preliminary reports for Cardiologist.
• Inputs data into billing system and processes billing.
• Cleans and maintains testing equipment after each exam.
