Northwell Health is seeking a per diem Doula for the NHMP Northern OB/GYN at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY. The doula provides continuous emotional and physical support during labor and postpartum, with a 24-hour on-call schedule and on-site presence for deliveries.

Requirements include a high school diploma and DONA or CAPPA in-person certification. Excellent communication is essential; duties include assisting with birth plans and family support throughout labor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• DONA or CAPPA certification required (in-person workshop).
• Per Diem doulas have a 24-hour call.
• Requires excellent communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Attends laboring women for the entire length of their labor to provide continuity (avg ~12 hours, up to 24 hours).
• Provides comfort measures: positioning, massage, ambulation, hydration, nutrition, rest.
• Supports patients' families throughout the labor process.
• Facilitates birth plans in collaboration with patient, RNs & MDs.
• 24/7 on-call availability; rotates with schedule.
