Job summary

Swedish Medical Group in Seattle seeks a Per Diem nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join its Bariatric and Weight Management Surgery Program. You will work within a collaborative team to evaluate, educate, and manage patients before and after bariatric procedures.

The role focuses on outpatient care with potential inpatient support, contributing to quality improvement and program development. WA licensure and DEA are required or obtainable before start.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program.
• WA State NP/PA licensure or ability to obtain before start date.
• DEA certification or ability to obtain prior to start.
• Experience in bariatric surgery or obesity medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations and follow-up visits.
• Provide patient education and medical management pre- and post‑op.
• Support care coordination with surgeons, dietitians, and nursing teams.
• Participate in quality improvement and program development.
