Job summary

PAGNY seeks an Audiologist (Per Diem) for NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan in Manhattan. You will perform audiological testing, ABR, VNG/rotary chair exams, and report findings while counseling patients and collaborating with otolaryngology staff.

Requirements: Master's in Audiology, NYS license, at least 1 year of related experience; Doctorate preferred. Spanish a plus. Per diem rate: $41 per hour.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Audiology required.
• NY state licensure required.
• Doctorate degree preferred.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer a wide variety of audiological tests to determine hearing levels and lesion location.
• Administer ABR and VNG/rotary chair examinations and prepare/send tracings.
• Counsel patients and families regarding test results and recommendations.
• Collaborate with otolaryngology staff on patient referral and management.
• Prepare and distribute diagnostic reports maintaining confidentiality.
• Provide didactic and practical training to residents and staff.
