Granite Recovery Center is seeking a Per Diem APRN to oversee the day-to-day medical flow and admissions process for new clients. The APRN will report to the Medical Director and collaborate with the nursing team to identify chronic and acute needs, documenting them for appropriate care.

The role emphasizes de-escalation, quality documentation, and on-call medical coverage in a detox setting, with a strong commitment to teamwork and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• APRN licensure and certification in the appropriate state.
• Malpractice insurance coverage.
• Current CPR and Standard First Aid Certificate.
• DEA license preferred.
• Experience in a team environment and commitment to serving clients with addictions, mental illness, and homelessness preferred.
• Knowledge/experience in safe de-escalation of potentially volatile situations.

Responsabilités

• Monitor health issues and refer clients for specialized care as needed.
• Analyze situations quickly and apply sound judgement.
• Provide client needs, make referrals to, and collaborate with appropriate resources and community organizations.
• Discuss code blue and/or medical transfers with the participating team members in an open and respectful manner.
• Perform admission assessment, including physicals, for newly admitted clients.
• Report appropriate adverse drug reactions to appropriate authorities.
• Discuss with client’s possible side effects of medications that are prescribed.
• Diagnose and treat acute health problems such as injuries, infections, illnesses.
• Provide medical on call.
• Utilize critical thinking skills when treating and managing in a detox setting.
