Job summary

Granite Recovery Center is seeking a Per Diem APRN to report to the Medical Director and oversee daily medical flow, admissions for new clients, and chronic/acute medical needs documentation. The APRN will collaboratively work with the nursing team to ensure high-quality care and a professional, positive representation of the facility.

The role requires APRN licensure, CPR/First Aid, malpractice insurance, and preferred DEA license.

Qualifications

• APRN licensure and certification in the appropriate state
• Malpractice insurance coverage
• Current CPR and Standard First Aid Certificate
• DEA license preferred
• Experience working in a team environment
• Experience with addictions, mental illness, and homelessness preferred
• Knowledge to safely de-escalate potentially volatile situations
• CPR and First Aid certification current

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day medical flow and admissions process for new clients
• Identify and document chronic and acute medical needs and communicate to the nursing team
• Represent the facility positively and promote a collaborative environment
• Provide medical on-call coverage in detox settings
• Discuss code blue and medical transfers with the team
• Perform admission assessments including physicals for newly admitted clients
• Report adverse drug reactions to appropriate authorities and discuss medication side effects
• Diagnose and treat acute health problems such as injuries or infections
• Ensure timely, non-judgmental documentation and communication with leadership and staff
