UCI Health, a major California academic health system, seeks a Patient Access representative to support scheduling, registration, and patient flow from pre-admission to discharge.
Role requires strong communication, accuracy in demographics, and compliance with liability collection practices. Healthcare setting experience is preferred; this is an on-site position in California.
UCI Health is one of California’s largest academic health systems and the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine. Established on July 1, 1976, the health system has grown into a 1,461‑bed facility that includes UCI Health — Orange, UCI Health — Irvine, four Community Network hospitals, and a growing network of ambulatory care centers across Orange and Los Angeles counties.
Responsible for duties in support of departmental efficiencies, which may include— but are not limited to— performing scheduling, registration, patient pre‑admission and admission, reception, and discharge functions. Must obtain complete and accurate patient demographic information. Patient Access representatives must employ proper, compliant patient liability collection techniques before, during, and after the date of service.
