Job summary

Mount Holly Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking an Activities Aide for per-diem shifts. The role involves documenting resident participation, promoting well-being, and assisting in planning and implementing recreation programs.

Opportunities to participate in community events and support the care team are available. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year in an Activities Department in a medical facility preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• At least 1 year experience in an Activities Department in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related medical facility preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to deal tactfully with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Must participate in continuing education and in-service training.

Responsibilities

• Document daily participation of residents in scheduled programs.
• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual well-being of residents.
• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing the recreation programs of the facility.
• Participate in community marketing events as needed.
• Assist with and follow through on the establishment of resident care goals within the team.
• Communicate residents' mood, behavior, or involvement to appropriate team members.
• Perform administrative requirements such as audits, forms, and reports.
• Help set up, break down, and decorate for resident and facility events.
• Assist and transport residents to and from daily scheduled activities.
