POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Administrator to manage and support enterprise PeopleSoft environments across development, testing, and production landscapes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, patching, security administration, performance tuning, environment management, and production support.
The candidate will ensure the availability, stability, security, and performance of PeopleSoft applications while working closely with application, infrastructure, database, security, and business teams.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, configure, maintain, and support PeopleSoft environments across the enterprise landscape.
- Administer Application Servers, Web Servers, Process Schedulers, Integration Gateways, and PeopleSoft Search Framework.
- Manage Tuxedo, WebLogic, domain configuration, server startup/shutdown, and troubleshooting.
- Perform environment refreshes, cloning, configuration management, and environment synchronization.
- Execute PeopleTools upgrades, PUM image maintenance, patch deployments, and security updates.
- Manage Deployment Packages (DPK), Change Assistant, Change Packages, and retrofit deployments.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance windows, backups, release deployments, and system availability activities.
- Monitor system health, resource utilization, application performance, and batch processing.
- Perform application and server tuning and optimize SQL for large-scale workloads.
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, application issues, logs, caching, and batch-processing problems.
- Automate administrative tasks using Unix/Linux shell scripting, cron, and enterprise schedulers.
- Support job scheduling using tools such as AutoSys and Control-M.
- Perform migrations using Data Mover, Application Designer project migration, and ADS.
- Configure and support Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Kibana, BI Publisher, nVision, Report Manager, and report distribution.
- Administer PeopleSoft users, roles, permission lists, security profiles, and access controls.
- Support LDAP/SSO integration, security audits, compliance requirements, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery.
- Provide L2/L3 production administration and troubleshooting support.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and administration runbooks.
- Follow change-control, ITIL, Agile/Scrum, and enterprise configuration-management practices.
- Support cloud-hosted PeopleSoft environments across OCI, Azure, or AWS, where applicable.
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve PeopleSoft administration and operational processes.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of PeopleSoft Application Administration experience.
- Strong hands-on experience managing complex PeopleSoft environments in large enterprise organizations.
- Experience with PeopleTools, PSADMIN, Tuxedo, WebLogic, Process Scheduler, and Integration Gateway.
- Strong Unix/Linux administration and shell scripting skills.
- Experience with Oracle databases and SQL performance tuning.
- Experience with PeopleSoft Search Framework and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
- Experience with PUM, DPK, PeopleTools upgrades, patching, and Change Assistant.
- Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft security administration and access management.
- Experience with environment refreshes, cloning, migrations, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and support critical enterprise production environments.
