Job summary

Dow Jones is seeking a Manager, People Process & Solutions to architect and optimize HR operations. You will document processes, drive AI-enabled self-service improvements, and align workflows across global regions. This hybrid role partners with People COEs, and Workday and ServiceNow platforms are central to the scope.

You will lead process discovery, establish ownership frameworks, and monitor key metrics to improve efficiency and compliance in a complex, matrixed environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, IT, or related field or comparable work experience.
• 7+ years of experience in HR Operations, BPO, or Management Consulting within a global organization.
• Proven ability to document current-state vs future-state gap analyses with stakeholders.
• Experience in cross-functional, matrixed, global environments.
• Ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and enforce process quality.
• Interest in AI transformation and understanding that good process enables AI.
• Strong knowledge of Workday HCM and ServiceNow HRSD (preferred).
• Knowledge of AI agents, workflow design, automation (preferred).
• Experience with process mining tools and data analytics (preferred).
• Advanced degree or certifications in Lean Six Sigma or similar (preferred).

• Bridge HR business needs with Workday, ServiceNow, and AI tool requirements.

About the Role

As the Manager, People Process & Solutions within the People Operations team at Dow Jones, you will serve as the architect of our operational efficiency. You'll be a critical link between our current global state and our AI-powered, self-service future. You will own the documentation of processes for the People team, and design and refine process changes to ensure any HR workflow is as AI-optimized, simplified, and compliant as possible.

Working 3 days a week in our Midtown office and reporting to the Director, People Technology & Solutions, you'll partner closely with People COEs and the Dow Jones People Technology team, to document, design and transform processes.

You Will

• Act as the go-to person for HR process architecture
• Develop and maintain a global service catalogue, ensuring consistency, compliance, and clarity across all regions and the People team
• Serve as a technical lead for AI & Automation within People Ops, contributing to the evolution of best practices and ways of working
• Lead end-to-end process discovery and mapping to identify bottlenecks, compliance risks, and redundancies
• Define clear ownership frameworks (RACI/RAD) for cross-functional HR workflows, ensuring accountability and preventing fragmentation in global operations
• Design and refine streamlined and standardized Future State processes that are lean, self-service, scalable, compliant and AI/automation ready
• Establish, track, and report on key process health metrics
• Actively monitor cycle times, process compliance, error rates, and volume to identify opportunities to improve
• Collaborate extensively across HR, Tech, and legal/compliance functions
• Bridge the gap between HR business needs and the technical requirements of Workday, ServiceNow and emerging AI tools

You Have

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, IT, or a related field or comparable work experience
• 7+ years of experience in HR Operations, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), Management Consulting or a similar role within a global organization
• Proven ability to document complex current-state vs. future-state gap analysis, whilst managing stakeholders
• Demonstrated success working in a cross-functional, matrixed, global environment
• Ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, challenge the status quo, and act as a disciplined gatekeeper for process quality
• A proactive interest in AI transformation and an understanding that good process is a prerequisite for AI
• A motivation driven by the challenge of preparing HR for the future
• A strong understanding of Workday HCM and ServiceNow HRSD platforms or similar (preferred)
• A strong understanding of AI agents, workflow design and automation (preferred)
• Experience with process mining tools and data analytics (preferred)
• An advanced degree or professional certifications in Lean Six Sigma or similar (preferred)
