Job summary

The People Partner at Maersk USA will support assigned locations with frontline HR functions, handling employee relations, performance management, benefits, leaves of absence, and policy interpretation. You will investigate employee concerns, ensure wage/hour compliance, coach managers, manage headcount with facility leaders, and help implement HR policies and procedures.

This full-time, on-site role requires a Bachelor's degree, 7–10 years' experience, PHR/SPHR is preferred, and bilingual

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university.
• 7-10 years of related experience and/or training.
• PHR/SPHR certification is highly desired.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for employee-related issues, including harassment, wage/hour concerns, leaves of absence, injuries, onboarding, terminations, attendance, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
• Conduct employee investigations, gather witness statements, and make recommendations regarding the next steps.
• Ensure compliance with wage/hour laws, signage, postings, etc.
• Assist with the implementation of department and company goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Manage company-wide performance management process, including Performance Improvement Plans and corrective actions.
• Provide support and coaching to managers on employee-related issues.
• Work with facility leaders to strategically manage headcount and temporary staffing needs.
• Assist with creating and implementing HR-focused and company-based policies and procedures.
• Assist Managers with termination paperwork, exit interviews, and the off-boarding process.
• Participate in unemployment, wage/hour, and EEOC hearings.
• Assist with harassment and employee development training programs.
• Manage and conduct audits to ensure data integrity.
• Create and assist in the evaluation of reports.
• Assist with keeping organization charts current.
• Advise employees and management on HR policies and regulations.

Summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university with or 7-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• HR Certification (PHR/SPHR) is highly desired.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Pay Range

$90,000 - $110,000*

The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
